Cupcake Necklace Giveaway
We were at a local festival a few weeks ago when I spotted these charming cupcake necklaces. Actually, Mike spotted them first and surprised me with one for mother’s day! I liked mine so much, I had to go back and purchase another one to giveaway at the Bake It Pretty blog. I mean look at it, it’s just so perfect! A nice sized charm with a lovely, complimentary silver chain. I get so many compliments when I wear mine, and it really brightens my day.
This handmade glass jewelry is created by Lori Flanders of Isabel’s Rose, a talented artist based in Raleigh, NC. Be sure to visit her website and browse all of the fun and clever jewelry she has to offer. Naturally, the cupcakes caught my eye first, but I’m also pretty smitten with the birds and mushrooms, too.
If you’d like a chance to win the pretty, little pink cupcake necklace shown here please leave a comment in this post and let us know your thoughts on the whole “cupcake craze” debate. Do you think it’s a just a passing fad, or is The Cupcake here to stay? This giveaway is for US locations only and comments will close on June 2nd. Good luck, everyone!
***Special Offer just added! All cupcakes in the etsy store will be $25 instead of $30 for Bake It Pretty readers through June 2nd! Just mention Bake it Pretty in the comments to seller at checkout & you’ll get a refund through paypal. Sweet! Thanks, Lori. ***

May 26th, 2010 at 11:35 am
I think that the cupcake is here to stay. Super cute and a single portion, everyone can get what they want.
May 26th, 2010 at 11:38 am
I’ve seen these before, and wanted to buy a ton to send to all the great baking bloggers out there. Sadly, that was too much dough.
May 26th, 2010 at 11:40 am
Oh, and about cupcakes. Definately here to stay. Quick to bake, cute, and just the right size. All you great decorators can also be super creative times 12!
May 26th, 2010 at 11:44 am
While I’m sure something else will pop up, cupcakes will always be here to stay. I hope icing shots are here to stay too!
May 26th, 2010 at 11:45 am
The cupcake craze really is unlimited fun and potential! It may cool down somewhat, but I think it’s here to stay.
May 26th, 2010 at 12:05 pm
I think they are here to stay! I remember getting a vanilla cupcake with sprinkles at Whitefront when I was a kid. It was something that I looked forward to on our shopping trips.
May 26th, 2010 at 12:05 pm
anything with frosting is delicious. this would be a cute prize to win!
May 26th, 2010 at 12:11 pm
Cupcakes aren’t going anywhere.
I guarantee it
I <3 Cupcakes!
May 26th, 2010 at 12:12 pm
I think they are here to stay!
May 26th, 2010 at 12:13 pm
Cupcakes will always be a staple at parties, but they wont always be this popular.
May 26th, 2010 at 12:14 pm
I never knew it was gone, really! Haha.
There are so many options with cupcakes, and you can make them cute in so many different ways–frosting, little candies, and what it’s wrapped in. And they’re a one-person thang, easier to take to a gathering than a cake, where you have to cut individual pieces for everyone.
May 26th, 2010 at 12:14 pm
The cupcakes are here to stay but maybe not quite as popular as they are now. I mean it is everything cupcakes ~ even jewelry. That might not always be but the cupcakes themselves ~ yes they are here to stay.
May 26th, 2010 at 12:14 pm
I think they will always be around at some level, but may cool a bit from the current craze eventually.
May 26th, 2010 at 12:18 pm
the cupcake is here to stay. when you have a craving and you just need enough… a cupcake will do it for you. i love cupcakes!
May 26th, 2010 at 12:19 pm
I think the cupcake is here to stay.
May 26th, 2010 at 12:21 pm
I certainly think The Cupcake is here to stay.
It contains way more personality than a traditional cake and offers a type of adventure that cake simply can’t.
It’s portable, personal and wildly addictive!
Long live The Cupcake!
May 26th, 2010 at 12:23 pm
I think the cupcake is here to stay. Individual sizes of everything are popular for fun as well as for portion control. I also like cupcakes for events because they’re neater to serve.
Thanks for the chance to win!
May 26th, 2010 at 12:34 pm
The cupcake fad is not going anywhere! Wh could part with those colorful, sweet, and tasty little works of art! Definetly staying!
May 26th, 2010 at 12:38 pm
Just like rock-n-roll, cupcakes are here to stay. Show me a person who doesn’t like a cupcake, and I’ll show you a person who is dead inside.
May 26th, 2010 at 12:40 pm
I’m sure the craze will cool off but people will always want to eat them, that’s for sure!
May 26th, 2010 at 12:50 pm
I think they are here to stay!
May 26th, 2010 at 12:52 pm
The cupcake craze will die down for some people but I think that it has gained a whole new appreciation and the medium has been revolutionized so I can see it never really fading away.
May 26th, 2010 at 1:02 pm
i think it’s here forever
how could the cupcake ever not be cute?? adorable necklace. too cute!
May 26th, 2010 at 1:17 pm
Talented artist! Cupcakes are here to stay!!!
May 26th, 2010 at 1:31 pm
The cupcake is here to stay! It is the perfect serving size for all ages/lifestyles and its possibilities are ENDLESS! And they are just so much FUN! Who doesn’t LOVE a cupcake?
May 26th, 2010 at 1:32 pm
I think it’s a passing fad, but I ‘m totally enjoying it while it’s here and I would really enjoy that cute necklace!!
May 26th, 2010 at 1:34 pm
I love this necklace – it’s so cute.
And I do believe cupcakes are here to stay. IT’s something this next generation will grow up knowing you can get at the corner store. It will be like cellphones – everyone just takes it for granted now.
People don’t have time to bake and won’t make a whole batch at home – it’s easier to pick one or three up from the local bakery!
May 26th, 2010 at 1:40 pm
The cupcake never really went away in the first place…
May 26th, 2010 at 1:43 pm
What a cute necklace! I hope cupcakes are here to stay!
Thanks for such a great giveaway!
May 26th, 2010 at 1:48 pm
That is so cute! I think the cupcake craze is going to continue for awhile, I mean, cookies never went out of style!
May 26th, 2010 at 1:50 pm
It’s hard to say I mean, for avid bakers, it wasn’t anything new. Just a lot more fun stuff like this to buy with cupcakes on it. For those of us, it won’t go away cause it never just appeared. For trendy folks, they moved on to macarons 6 months ago.
May 26th, 2010 at 1:50 pm
Cute, delicious cupcakes….definately here to stay!!!
May 26th, 2010 at 2:01 pm
I hope cupcakes are here to stay. I love them, especially in the form of a charming little necklace!
May 26th, 2010 at 2:08 pm
I soooooo want this gift!
Here in Brazil, cupcakes are a new fever. I don’t think it’s only a passing craze. Maybe it will minimize with time, but cupcakes will still have their part of fans around the world. Like myself. =)
Wishing luck!
Kisses,
Renata
May 26th, 2010 at 2:14 pm
Cupcakes are here to stay! I love them!
May 26th, 2010 at 2:22 pm
I want to believe that cupcakes well never fade away. I mean, how can they? I fall in love with them over and over again. There are times where I don’t ever want to make or look at another cupcake again . But, after about two days, I am back to baking those little monsters.
keepers!
May 26th, 2010 at 2:23 pm
I really think the cupcake is here to stay. It’s such a classic and most of the time are very pretty. And they make a perfect muse for absolutely adorable jewelry! I love this cupcake necklace, TOO CUTE!!
May 26th, 2010 at 2:31 pm
I don’t think cupcakes are going anywhere anytime soon. The trendiness of them might die down a little bit, but I think in our on-the-go culture where people are trying to watch their calorie intake and practice portion control, the cupcake is the ultimate sweet treat.
Love this necklace and the rest of Flanders’ work!
May 26th, 2010 at 2:35 pm
How CUTE!! I think the cupcake craze will eventually calm down- just as soon as the next newest, latest food craze hits. However, I think cupcakes will always be popular- who doesn’t love having their own personal, hand-held cake?
May 26th, 2010 at 2:38 pm
I love cupcakes. I think they will always be around…. but do not think they will maintan this “craze” level forever!
May 26th, 2010 at 2:42 pm
I think The Cupcake is here to stay! Love them!!
And love that necklace!
May 26th, 2010 at 2:50 pm
I love the cupcake craze…it’s definitely a nice change from the my grade school memories of box cupcakes!
May 26th, 2010 at 2:51 pm
The cupcake is such a friendly, chic dessert – definitely here to stay!
May 26th, 2010 at 2:54 pm
The cupcake is for sure here to stay! They are the perfect cake! I love making them!
May 26th, 2010 at 2:59 pm
Personally, I think the cupcake is something that has always had the ability to capture hearts. It has just recently been noticed. The cupcake is here to stay, what is there not to love?
May 26th, 2010 at 3:20 pm
The cupcake is definitely here to stay! Cupcakes rock & so does the necklace. Love it!
May 26th, 2010 at 3:27 pm
I hope the cupcake is here to stay. I like the simple ones the best.
May 26th, 2010 at 3:29 pm
the cupcake is here to stayyyy! unless you can get millions of adoring fans of the cupcake to just stop baking and decorating and imagining up new flavors all together… the cupcake isn’t going aaaanywhere.
Now, cupcakes on everything from clothes to wall art, that might fade as time goes. but just as every style does, it’ll come back around
May 26th, 2010 at 3:33 pm
Well, the cupcake craze is probably just a fad but, I love it so I’m enjoying the ride! I think (and hope)the bundt cake is the next big thing!
May 26th, 2010 at 3:35 pm
The cupcake is definitely here to stay! They’re tasty, easy to bake, easy to eat, and cute as heck… Just like that necklace
May 26th, 2010 at 3:41 pm
OMGosh this is too cute! I sure hope cupcakes aren’t just a fad because I love trying all the cute new shops.
May 26th, 2010 at 3:53 pm
Mixed feelings on whether it is a trend or not…it is always nice to have an individual sized anything, but on the other hand, everything seems to go in trends.
May 26th, 2010 at 3:54 pm
I’d say the craze is here to stay because it’s profitable for bakeries.
May 26th, 2010 at 3:57 pm
Cupcakes are so great! A personal cake. I love em! Here to stay in my opinion.
Cute necklace! Love it!
May 26th, 2010 at 3:58 pm
Here to stay. THANKFULLY!
May 26th, 2010 at 4:08 pm
I think they are here to stay because of the size you can be so creative in decorating.
May 26th, 2010 at 4:18 pm
It’s definitely here to stay!
May 26th, 2010 at 4:21 pm
HERE to STAAAAY!!! Dear God, I hope so, I got a cupcake tattoo a year ago!!
May 26th, 2010 at 4:28 pm
Such a cute website!! I love the cupcake fairies! I think the cupcake craze will continue on…who doesn’t LOVE cupcakes in their various sizes, shapes and flavors???????

May 26th, 2010 at 5:19 pm
I think the cupcake is here to stay! If cake is popular why not cupcakes? Cupcakes come in many different sizes, colors, shapes, flavors, and themes! Cupcakes have been around forever so they are defiantly here to stay forever<3
May 26th, 2010 at 5:27 pm
Yay cupcakes! Lori’s work is awesome.
May 26th, 2010 at 5:50 pm
I certainly HOPE cupcakes will stay around for a while, since that’s the business I’m starting!
May 26th, 2010 at 5:57 pm
A cupcake is just an insufficient amount of cake.
May 26th, 2010 at 6:12 pm
Cupcakes have been around a LONG time. I sure hope all the fun cupcake themed things, and cupcake shops and supplies are too.
May 26th, 2010 at 6:42 pm
Here to stay! They are the most fun finger foods!
May 26th, 2010 at 6:42 pm

I think the cupcake is here to stay! And I am so happy about that. There’s a little cafe in the town I live in that serves cupcakes and roasted chocolate bean drinks. It’s so good! and it’s amazing how many different cupcakes they can make.
May 26th, 2010 at 7:35 pm
Here to stay for sure!
May 26th, 2010 at 7:38 pm
Cucakes are here to stay, I have been eating them for 39 years and I just can’t get enough. I am in L-O-V-E with them, it’s cake on the go!
May 26th, 2010 at 7:40 pm
Cupcakes are here to stay!! As one of my best friends always says… “I think cupcakes are pretty much the best idea ever…you can eat an entire cake without feeling socially unacceptable.”
Love them. Cupcakes and friends, that is.
May 26th, 2010 at 7:42 pm
The cupcake is SO here to stay! Who doesn’t get happy when they see a cupcake? Today the local cupcake shop announced they were having Cosmo flavored ones for the Sex and the City 2 premiere, I went down and scooped some up immediately!
May 26th, 2010 at 7:43 pm
Sadly, I think it’s a fad or craze and that it will end one day but will keep coming back like all good things do.
I love cupcakes and will comtinue to bake(and eat)my share.
May 26th, 2010 at 7:46 pm
Here to stay. People are doing SO MUCH with them and I think to a lot of people they are less daunting than a full cake. The cute factor helps too!
May 26th, 2010 at 7:48 pm
I have always been a cupcake fan, my mother had to make me cupcakes for my birthday, never a cake! For this fan, the cupcake craze is permanent!
May 26th, 2010 at 7:51 pm
I think they’re definitely here to stay. They’re too cute and tasty not to!
May 26th, 2010 at 7:53 pm
Definitely the cutest “bling” I have ever seen!! I’m crazy about cupcakes, so as far as I’m concerned, the cupcake craze is here to stay and I love it!
May 26th, 2010 at 7:55 pm
As long as I have an oven to bake them in. Viva la cupcake!
May 26th, 2010 at 7:59 pm
I don’t know. I think cupcakes will always be a popular choice, but I also think that the “craze” is going more toward mini-anything already rather than just “mini-cakes” (Cupcakes!)…..
That’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it!
May 26th, 2010 at 8:05 pm
Definitely here to STAY!…..which is great!
May 26th, 2010 at 8:05 pm
Love the necklace! Would be sweet on my 3 yo daughter, non?
Cupcakes are here to stay, although I think that the fever will pass. Whoopie pies next?
May 26th, 2010 at 8:15 pm
I think the cupcake craze its pretty exciting actually. Who would have thought something most of us made with our mothers/grandmothers would blow up into something so chic and trendy! They make people happy, and I’m hoping they are here to stay
May 26th, 2010 at 8:18 pm
I hope it is here to stay … but I honestly think that it will end because we are surrounded by cupcake everything and people will eventually get enough.
May 26th, 2010 at 8:18 pm
This is adorable!! I sure hope cupcakes are here to stay…yum!!
May 26th, 2010 at 8:18 pm
i love the cupcake craze and definitely think it should stick around!
May 26th, 2010 at 8:41 pm
When my cousin decided to have a cupcake wedding cake for her wedding, I thought it was a fad. But she got married 10 years ago, so i guess the cupcake is here to stay. And since I’m a pretty big fan of the little cakes, I don’t mind so much.
May 26th, 2010 at 8:42 pm
The cupcake necklace is so adorable. The cucpake craze is definitely here to stay and will probably get even more intense as time goes by. Cupcakes have been around for sometime now although they are more relevant now being we are living in a world of convenience. I know I will always be a cupcake fan!
May 26th, 2010 at 8:46 pm
I think the cupcake craze is definitely not stopping anytime soon. Cupcakes are a timeless treat everyone enjoys! Not to mention you can do all kinds of things with them (they come in different sizes too!). I work at a cupcake shop and my co-workers and I were talking about how funny it would be to start a cupcake DRIVE-THRU! Like Krispy Kreme and doughnuts, except with cupcakes! Then we thought about it again, and decided that it really wasn’t funny, just a darn good idea that tons of people would go for!
May 26th, 2010 at 8:47 pm
I heard macarons are the new cupcake
May 26th, 2010 at 8:54 pm
Definitely here to STAY!!!! Even if its just in my heart, I will ALWAYS love cupcakes!!! Absolutely adorable necklace!
May 26th, 2010 at 9:18 pm
Cupcakes are here to stay. Every day someone comes up with an exciting new way of decorating or displaying or an incredible new flavor. There are no limits to the imagination and creative abilities. The small child sees differently than the adult and older generation and each contributes. That and they are just delicious.
May 26th, 2010 at 9:20 pm
First of all, I HEART cupcakes!!! They are sooo amazing; cute, small and fabulous!!! I think the cupcake is here to stay, that is for sure!
P.S. I think the necklace is absolutely adorable too!!!

May 26th, 2010 at 9:26 pm
What an adorable necklace! Cupcakes are here to stay. As someone else said, “Cupcakes are classic”.
May 26th, 2010 at 9:40 pm
The cupcake craze is here to stay. For the simple reason that you can decorate and serve them and they still look great. Unlike the cake you cut into and it never looks the same. Also, you can tailor your flavors and colors.
May 26th, 2010 at 9:45 pm
OMG! I love, love, LOVE it!!
May 26th, 2010 at 9:47 pm

May 27th, 2010 at 12:33 am
Long live the cupcake! Have you ever heard of an extinct cupcake?? I don’t see cupcakes fading away. I love them! My son (He is 25 yrs old) loves them. When I have grandchildren I will make sure they love cupcakes too. My friend and I are going on a mini cupcake tour this weekend. We have to take a small road trip so we mapped out 3 cupcakes places to try on the way. My husband and I have a much bigger tour planned out in 3 weeks. We are driving to San Antonio for our son’s wedding. We decided to make the drive fun and stop at a lot of cupcake bakeries.
May 27th, 2010 at 12:51 am
Cupcakes are just plain yum. I think they’re here to stay.
May 27th, 2010 at 2:41 am
Love the cupcake craze… my kitchen is covered in cupcake kitsch. Heaven.
May 27th, 2010 at 3:59 am
I remember a lot of Saturdays baking cupcakes with my Grandma Billie and how my Granpa always ate the burned ones. Nothing went to waste at their house. Cupcakes are cute, comforting and now chic…why wouldn’t they stay forever?
May 27th, 2010 at 7:53 am
This is soooo cute. Cupcakes rulz! They are the perfect size and the best part is no need to cut and serve. Thanks for the chance to win.
May 27th, 2010 at 8:12 am
I think the cupcake is here for good. Who doesn’t love ‘em? They’re great for people who want cake, but not a whole lot!
May 27th, 2010 at 8:17 am
Those necklaces are too cute!! I REALLY hope the cupcake craze is here to stay!
May 27th, 2010 at 8:44 am
While I think that things might fade a bit, cupcakes and cupcakeries are here for the LONG haul. How could they not be with so many of us that are addicted to them?
May 27th, 2010 at 9:32 am
I think cupcakes are here to stay – they are fun and cute and with everyone so busy they are much faster than full-sized cakes (and less calories)
These necklaces are just too cute!
May 27th, 2010 at 9:41 am
I definetly think the cupcake craze is here to stay. Not only are they cute, but you have so many options. They are also more convenient, less messy to serve and just all around better.
May 27th, 2010 at 9:51 am
Cupcakes are here to stay!! They’ve never gone out of style for me
May 27th, 2010 at 10:04 am
You can never go wrong with a cupcake!
May 27th, 2010 at 10:15 am
The cupcake is a classic, not a fad. What’s not to love?
May 27th, 2010 at 10:29 am
I think the cupcake is here to stay
May 27th, 2010 at 10:50 am
I think cupcakes are cute and all, but in the world of the wedding cupcake towers, I think cake and pie buffets are the next trend on the rise!
May 27th, 2010 at 10:53 am
I’m thinkin’ and hopin’ that cupcakes are here to stay for evah and evah! I love that they call them ‘Fairie cakes’ in the UK! Now thats yummy. Besides, I’m still waiting for the reality show and capri pant fads to pass!
May 27th, 2010 at 11:11 am
Cupcakes are classic. They apleal to everyone young and old. They fit perfectly in your hand, in a lunchbox, when tired are even perfect for weddings. They are easy to bake, easy to store, and easy to serve. CUPCAKES are the ultimate WIN WIN FOOD. Savory, sweet, heck even spicy. We love cupcakes and we will proudly wear them around our necks

I told my boyfriend’s mother that I wanted to open a cupcake store and she said – That’s just a fad, you know. I don’t think so! I love cupcakes. I always brought them to school for my birthday and insisted on making them myself.
May 27th, 2010 at 12:25 pm
Super cute necklace. I think that cupcakes are here to stay. i don’t know if their huge popularity will stay constant, but come on what’s better than a tiny cake that could fit into a cup?
May 27th, 2010 at 12:29 pm
The cupcake is making itself at home. We will not be seeing this fad die out anytime soon, which is absolutely great for us bakers!!! The cupcake is that cute little bit that satisfies the sweets without overdoing it, and being followed by a case of remorse!!
May 27th, 2010 at 12:31 pm
Other things will come and go, but I’m pretty sure that the cupcake craze is here to stay.
May 27th, 2010 at 12:36 pm
No doubt the cupcake is here to stay. It is a perfect few bites of bliss or as my friend says “that’s a mouth full of yummy!”
May 27th, 2010 at 1:18 pm

May 27th, 2010 at 1:30 pm

May 27th, 2010 at 2:30 pm
The last two weeks I have traveled from New York to Virginia and everyone knows about cupcakes. Have eaten a cupcake in most of the states I have stopped.

May 27th, 2010 at 3:00 pm
I think that it is here too stay. I love, love, love a good cupcake but i think alot of people are missing on other great baked goods. I would love to see some old fashion bakeries come back.
May 27th, 2010 at 3:02 pm
If I had it my way the cupcake would be here to stay! They are the perfect sized bite or two of cake. There’s no better way to celebrate something than with a yummy cupcake. Love the necklace.
May 27th, 2010 at 3:29 pm
This cure is clever… it is a great way to show off your creativity…
The cupcake is here to stay…
May 27th, 2010 at 4:12 pm
The cupcake is here to stay!!
May 27th, 2010 at 4:17 pm
I think the cupcake is classic and has been around way before it became a craze. May not always be such a craze but the cupcake is definitely here to stay.
May 27th, 2010 at 4:38 pm
Who doesn’t love a darling single serving of cake? Cupcakes will be the craze for a LONG time!! Now that they’ve really caught on, we will just see lots of innovations & new trends with cupcakes! I’d LOVE to win the cupcake necklace!!
May 27th, 2010 at 4:50 pm
The cupcake fad is not new, cupcakes are the best way to eat cake, you get your own cake and the ratio of cake to frosting is way better than a slice of cake!
I hope this new trend of lovely pushing the envelope cupcakes is here to stay, too many good combos are being made, love the necklace, it is darling
May 27th, 2010 at 5:15 pm
Oh I hope it’s here to stay!! My friend and I LOVE coming up with awesome new flavors & sharing them!!!
May 27th, 2010 at 5:27 pm
I think cupcakes are here to stay. With colorful paper cups and pretty sprinkles, anyone can make a beautiful dessert (not to mention yummy!).
May 27th, 2010 at 5:45 pm
Cupcakes have been around awhile. Their timeless.
May 27th, 2010 at 5:54 pm
The cupcake is here to stay if energy efficiency has anything to do with it! (How much do we save by baking small sizes rather than an entire sheet cake?)
May 27th, 2010 at 5:56 pm
I appreciate the simplicity (more often than not, anyway) and ease of transport that a single cupcake provides, but sometimes I find them laborious in large quantities (for transport and decorating). I tried to start a revolution a few years ago and attempted to lift the bundt cake to a status similar to the cupcake, but I failed.
May 27th, 2010 at 6:03 pm
Hands down the Cupcake is here to stay, 4-ever.
Small, simple, quick and cute who could resist?
May 27th, 2010 at 6:08 pm
I LOVE cupcakes, and even if it is a passing fad, they will always be a part of my sweet treat line-up!
May 27th, 2010 at 6:30 pm
How darling! I love it! And YES – cupcakes are here to stay! How can something so versatile and FUN be just a craze?
May 27th, 2010 at 6:52 pm
Cupcakes may all taste good (and pretty much the same), but what keeps the craze going is how unique and creative people and get with their cupcakes!
May 27th, 2010 at 7:15 pm
Love the cupcake necklace!!!
May 27th, 2010 at 7:17 pm
I agree with most on here – cupcakes are VERY popular and will remain quite popular in the future. I tend to believe that one of the many attributes to using cupcakes is how CLEAN they are. If you use cupcakes at a child’s party, you have less clean up than with traditional cake! Plus you can make each cupcake reflect the personality of each child & they love it! For this one simple fact – I believe that cupcakes are here to stay!
May 27th, 2010 at 7:24 pm
I totally think this is here to stay. Cupcakes are WAY cuter than a cake, and easier for people to make.
It is easier to make cupcakes for your children than a beautiful cake.
Totally here to stay!
May 27th, 2010 at 9:13 pm
There’s no way that cupcakes could disappear entirely, but they might faze in and out of popularity. Even though they’re super cute, and people will always love them, they might go on the back burner for a while if some new fad pops up.
May 27th, 2010 at 9:23 pm
Cupcakes are here to stay, they are just too cute and the perfect size to ever go away!
May 27th, 2010 at 9:37 pm
I think the cupcake craze has gone from something simple that people just like to enjoy to a sort of…designer, posh, exclusive kind of thing. For a lot of people (including me), cupcakes are just simple cute & VERYYYYY enjoyable desserts, but I find there are some people who are a bit snobby about it. Boo!!! Lets keep it simple and fun
May 27th, 2010 at 10:05 pm
I hope it is here to stay — I LOVE cupcakes!!!
May 27th, 2010 at 10:26 pm
Cupcakes will always be cute and fun.
May 27th, 2010 at 11:39 pm
Cupcakes are here to stay, If I have anything to say about it!
May 28th, 2010 at 3:39 am
cupcakes have always been my favorite dessert and I’ve loved making them since my childhood…they are just bigger and fancier now, but are here to stay!
May 28th, 2010 at 7:38 am
I really think it is here to stay. Cupcakes come in so many different styles, flavors, themes. The possibilities are endless and that’s why I think the craze will never die down. Thanks for the great contest
May 28th, 2010 at 7:48 am
Love! Love! Love! Cupcakes! There just little bits of heaven!!! I would say Definitely here to stay!!!!
May 28th, 2010 at 9:59 am

I personally think cupcakes are here to stay. Who doesn’t love single unit cake goodness?
May 28th, 2010 at 10:13 am
I think cupcakes are here to stay! I may be biased because they are my favorite food, but I think they are so sweet and adorable that they have staying power for sure!
PS I love all of Lori’s jewelry
May 28th, 2010 at 11:12 am
i love cupcakes. here to stay!
May 28th, 2010 at 12:07 pm
Is there anyone who reads this site that would dispute the longevity of the cupcake?!
Thanks for the chance to win this prize! I love the birdies and the cupcake trinkets in her shop!
May 28th, 2010 at 12:28 pm
I think it’s a fad, not that we won’t always eat them, but I do think they will not remain as popular as they are right now for an extended period of time- very few things do.
May 28th, 2010 at 1:06 pm
Cupcake= delight and happiness! Would love to wear this around town. For sure it is here to stay!
May 28th, 2010 at 2:54 pm
I think that cupcakes will stay, I mean who doesn’t like mini cakes?
May 28th, 2010 at 3:16 pm
The cupcake craze is here to stay! Especially in my
house with 5 little boys who beg me to make them
daily!!
May 28th, 2010 at 7:36 pm
I think there will always be a group of people who are addicted to all things cupcake, but as most fads, this one will be replaced by another. I’m going to enjoy the craze while it lasts!
May 28th, 2010 at 7:48 pm
Cupcakes are a feast for the eyes, but I still prefer a slice of cake.
I think the craze will be here for a while, though.
May 28th, 2010 at 8:26 pm
staying!! love this!
May 28th, 2010 at 8:35 pm
The cupcake is here to stay!
May 28th, 2010 at 9:07 pm
I think they’re here to stay, but the cake balls are gaining on them!
May 28th, 2010 at 10:19 pm
I love cupcakes. I have for years. I love everything about them. I hope the craze sticks around for a long time!
May 28th, 2010 at 10:40 pm
I think that the cupcake craze will die down a bit, as far as accessories go, but the cupcake as a baked good will always be hot.
May 28th, 2010 at 10:50 pm
I love cupkakes and these are soooooooo cute!i would love to hear from you!
May 28th, 2010 at 11:26 pm

May 29th, 2010 at 12:16 am
I just stumbled across your blog/shop! I love it! And that necklace is adorable.
Anyway, I think cupcakes at weddings are a fad, but cupcakes otherwise… here to stay!

May 29th, 2010 at 2:06 pm
I think most definitely the cupcake is here to stay. Who doesn’t love cute, bite sized pieces of love? Even if the cupcake fad doesn’t stay, it will always be my favorite
May 29th, 2010 at 3:38 pm

SO cute!! Cupcakes are here to stay! There is even a double decker cupcake bus that drives around where I live
May 30th, 2010 at 9:41 am
I will support the cupcake culture all the way, we always need something sweet in these hard times, buy a cupcake, support your local cupcake bakeries. Or even bake some and share.
May 30th, 2010 at 10:21 am
I don’t think the Cupcake Craze is a fad. If it is, it’s the longest fad I’ve ever known, hehe. Fads are quick and come and go. Cupcakes have been “hot” for at least a couple of years now. They are definitely here to stay! It’s a great small portion, so it’s always good for those of us trying to watch our portion intake, and it’s fun, and just super cute!
May 30th, 2010 at 11:15 am
But cupcakes are just so cute and appealing. I think the cupcake craze will stay. Just check out Johnny Cupcakes’ brand, I mean, he made a successful business out of them
May 30th, 2010 at 11:35 am
looks so cute!
May 30th, 2010 at 11:56 am
That’s soo cute!
I think like any craze, the cupcake will fade away a bit eventually…but at the same time, they’ve always been a popular treat, so it’s not like they’ll go away completely!
May 30th, 2010 at 1:49 pm
I think the cupcake is a forever dessert. It’s just such a versatile thing: good for kid’s parties, cocktail parties, football after-game treats and so much more! The cupcake will never go out of style.
May 30th, 2010 at 4:47 pm
Cupcakes are not just a fad because they’re cute, delicious and iconic. Whether you enjoy baking, eating cupcakes or crafting them; they’re a lot of fun! Whether the necklace is in style or not I’d surely wear it.
May 30th, 2010 at 5:32 pm
My 13 year old daughter has been “cupcake crazy” for quite a while. Recently she started taking cake decorating classes & is getting quite good at it! If she has anything to do with it, the craze will be permanent. Would love to win this for my daughter

I love the cupcake craze. My married daughter encouraged me to switch to cupcakes. As a Creative Memories consultant I host monthly crops in my home – my ladies can’t wait to see how I am going to make the cupcakes fit in my theme for that month. This month I am having a flip flop crop and I’m still working how to create a flip flop cupcake.
